Announcement on the date of World Geothermal Congress 2023

The International Geothermal Association (IGA) and the National Geothermal Energy Center of China (CNGEC) are announcing today that the World Geothermal Congress 2023 is now scheduled to take place according to the following schedule:

  • 7-8 October 2023: Short Courses

  • 9-11 October 2023: Technical Programme (hybrid)

  • 12-13 October 2023: Field trips

Due to the ongoing challenging circumstances regarding scheduling and planning a global event under zero COVID policy the host has constrained the technical programme to three days with the opportunity for virtual participation. We are aware of the limitations for presentation spaces this results to and are sorry for any inconvenience this will cause.
For the exhibition and sponsorship packages further information is expected to be available by the end of November 2022.

The deadline for paper submissions to the technical programme is effectively 31 December 2022.
